How I Earn an Income with My Online Side-Hustle

We are living in crazy, crazy times right now! When I think about COVID-19, the two topics that come to mind first are employment and mental health. Unemployment rates are through the roof, and people are turning to booze and comfort food to cope.

And then I think how blessed I am to not only have an income, but have one from a business that is focused on my HEALTH… Physical, mental and emotional health.

This coaching business has changed my life for so many reasons… I relieve stress using my workout programs, I fuel my body and increase my energy using my superfoods and nutrition program, and I create positive vibes and connection using my bootcamp and coaching communities.

The best part? The business is SIMPLE! Although I was already a certified health coach, it wasn’t necessary. Experience wasn’t necessary. The only thing I needed, and the only thing YOU WOULD NEED to start coaching is a heart to serve, a drive to work, and a commitment to your own health journey! All from the comfort of your own home… Or the beach… Or maybe your kid’s soccer practice once that starts again!

I’d love to hear from you… What would you do with an extra $500, $1000, $5000, $10000 a month? Think big. Dream big.

How I Lost Belly Fat Using Only 3 Pound Weights

Would you believe me if I told you I only used 3 lb weights for an entire 8 week program? What if I told you I toned my arms and abs, and lifted my booty BIG time with those weights, all while staying low impact? Yep, you heard that right!

The other great improvement I saw over these 8 weeks (well 10, because life isn’t perfect and neither is my fitness journey) was my flexibility. I strengthened my hips, knees, ankles, etc. which has taken pressure off of my entire body. A bootcamper of mine said she saw improvement in a broken ankle that had been taking forever to heal. How amazing is that!?

So, if you hate high intensity, or maybe its just a season where you need to slow ‘er down, this program is for you! I did everything during these 8 weeks from dropping my weights, cursing, etc. because it is TOUGH! You will feel the burn and maybe curse too, but the trainer’s positivity will outshine any cuss words you throw at the TV!

Did I mention you can do this entire program from the comfort of your own home? Which is great, because HOME is the only place we can be these days. Um, who’s ready for that to end?? Anyways, the only equipment I used was a yoga mat, weights (grab some canned peaches if you don’t have weights!), optional resistance loops and something to occasionally lean on. I used my dresser, the wall, etc, but tall stools or tables work great too!

I can’t wait to get back into higher intensity workouts, but think I will create a program mashup so I don’t lose my newfound booty and flexibility!

Check out my bootcamp application here if you are interested in doing this workout program or the mashup with me!

My Story

I have so much to share in these monthly newsletters… However, I thought I’d start at the beginning… My story.

I have always been extremely interested in health and nutrition. I was using flaxseeds before flaxseeds were cool.

However, I was overweight, riddled with anxiety, exhausted, and there wasn’t such thing as too much ice cream. I spent years trapped in binge eating, sugar addiction and low self-esteem, which was topped off with too much booze to mask all the shame. I was the gal who would want to leave a date early because I was craving sugar, but didn’t want to look like a fat a** (yes, I was a closet sugar addict). I developed crazy anxiety, was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, and had such bad hormone imbalances that at one point my progesterone levels were that of a 9-year old boy.

However, I couldn’t admit to myself I had a problem. I was in denial that I had become out of shape, so every intense workout program “wasn’t for me”. I was in denial I had an eating disorder, so every nutrition program or veggie-filled recipe was “just too strict and not attainable”.

Since starting on my Beachbody journey, I have found the beauty in balance. I balanced out my diet where I finally foundsatiety. I incorporated daily superfoods where I found increased energy, better digestion, reduced cravings and clearer skin. I balanced out my workout routine and found a clear head and reduced stress from 20-60 minute at-home workouts and physical rest and

recovery when I needed it. I found a calm confidence that I was finally on a healing journey, and knew I was forming lasting habits that would take me through the natural ups and downs of progress. I found a world where I got out of the habit of:

  • Thinking I wasn’t good enough
  • Thinking I wasn’t deserving
  • Using fear to stay stuck
  • Thinking there is no point, its too late

Habits are far more than physical actions. Habits can show up in our beliefs…

Our thoughts become our behaviors; Our behaviors become our beliefs; Our beliefs become our identity.

Cheers to becoming our best selves through fitness, nutrition, and lifting that glass ceiling that has been holding us back from releasing our true potential.

Xoxo, Sky
