I don’t know about you, but life feels like an absolute rollercoaster lately! With the revolving door of businesses opening and closing, no masks vs masks, etc. life seems uncertain and ever-changing. My remedy? A ROUTINE! I control the controllables… What I put in and on my body, what I allow my mind to absorb, and sneaking in a sweat sesh first thing in the morning. You may be thinking… blah, blah, blah. HOWEVER, what these small things do is allow me to stay centered and balanced through the crazy.
But, I have to admit… After a week in the mountains, I got out of routine! Hello snacks, drinks, and only one short “workout” when I had to pedal my butt up a steep hill.
The good news? Getting back into a routine is totally doable! It’s important to start with baby steps. Even if before the coronavirus hit (or a camping trip happened) and you were in great shape and working out daily, we have to take baby steps. Our bodies need time to get back into the rhythm of working out and eating healthy! You may feel super motivated and like you want to do ALL THE THINGS, but trust me, you’ll burn out by the end of the week if you don’t take baby steps!
Start by intentionally having one extra healthy meal every day.
Whether it’s a protein shake in the morning or a salad for lunch– pick one thing and stick to it for a week before upping the ante! From there, you can start to add in some exercise every day and make sure to include vegetables with every meal 👍
Personally, shakes are the easiest way for me to keep my protein on point. Not to mention they cure my sweet tooth, and they can be fun!
And I have a confession… I used to drink shakes from one of those other companies. And the worst part? I SWORE they were the best!
But then someone finally convinced me to try Shakeology. And now I can’t go back! It is chalk full of vitamins, minerals, adaptogens, digestive enzymes, pre- and probiotics, etc. to keep our digestion, stress levels, immune system, cravings, etc all happy and healthy!
